I've shown my acrylic paintings at Studio b. since the gallery opened. The subjects of my paintings have been fish, birds, bugs, flowers, landscapes and people swimming. Sometimes I make small wooden sculptures of people.

Lately I’ve become interested in painting still lifes. I have a collection of colored vases and objects that I arrange and paint from life or from memory. In painting the colors and textures and shadows of these objects, they become a kind of portrait of my inner self.

My work has been shown around the Midwest, especially in Chicago, where I live. I have a master’s degree in Art from Columbia College, where I taught for several years. I also taught art at North Park College.
